In Jharkhand, a teacher at a private school in the Bhandara police station area of Lohardaga district has been accused of brutally assaulting a young student. The student, a UKG student named Prince Uraon, was allegedly attacked by the teacher, identified as Kranti Kiran Kido. The assault resulted in a broken finger and severe injuries to the child’s leg. The incident occurred after Prince complained about the quality of food served in the school’s hostel. Following the assault, Prince fled the hostel and informed his family. His father, Sukra Uraon, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the teacher at the Bhandara police station. The FIR details that the teacher beat Prince with a stick after he complained about the hostel food on August 20th. Prince’s family took him to the Sadar Hospital in Lohardaga for treatment, where X-rays confirmed the broken finger and injuries to his right foot. When the family confronted the school authorities, they were allegedly mistreated. The school principal has dismissed the accusations as baseless, while authorities have launched an investigation. Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken notice of the case and instructed the Lohardaga district’s Deputy Commissioner to investigate and take appropriate action.
