In Jharkhand, a brazen act of robbery and violence unfolded at the Tumdegi Church in the Simdega district. Approximately 10-12 masked criminals, armed with weapons, stormed the church and looted around 3.50 lakh rupees. When the church’s Dean, Thomas Soreng, and the Assistant Priest, Emmanuel Baghwar, resisted, the assailants brutally attacked them, inflicting serious injuries. The injured were immediately taken to the Simdega district’s Sadar Hospital, where they are under the care of the Civil Surgeon. The incident occurred late Tuesday night. Responding to the gravity of the situation, Simdega District SP Mo Arshi, DSP, and SDPO, along with other officials, visited the hospital to gather information from the victims. The police have initiated an investigation and are actively working to apprehend the perpetrators.
