The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and Leader of Opposition, Babulal Marandi, has leveled serious accusations against the Jharkhand government, alleging a deliberate effort to conceal rising crime rates by fabricating new offenses. Marandi stated that it has become a disturbing trend for the government and the administrative system in Jharkhand to create new crimes as a cover-up strategy. Recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions within the coal mafia’s illicit operations in Dhanbad have brought to light startling evidence. More alarmingly, it is reported that some high-ranking police officials, benefiting from the ill-gotten wealth of the coal trade, have allegedly tasked key operatives with eliminating their own ground-level associates permanently. The objective appears to be silencing individuals being interrogated by the ED to prevent the truth from emerging. Marandi warned that the ED must remain exceptionally vigilant, as in this state, those who suppress the truth, rather than those who speak it, hold sway. When power, the system, and criminal elements converge, the suppression of justice becomes a mere formality.
