The Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the inauguration ceremony of the “East Tech Symposium-2025” (Defence Expo) held at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that the day was significant for the state, as the Ministry of Defence was organizing the event. He expressed optimism that the event would achieve its objectives, highlighting the potential for growth in the defense sector in Jharkhand. Soren emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the central government in making the defense sector self-reliant. He also noted the abundance of raw materials and uranium in Jharkhand, which could foster expansion in the defense sector. The Chief Minister mentioned the presence of various industrial institutions in the state, including HEC, which plays a crucial role in manufacturing components for satellites and atomic energy. He expressed concern over HEC’s current situation and emphasized the need for collaboration between the central and state governments to support industrial institutions. He assured that the state government would provide full support to the defense sector.
