Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts by the Bokaro Steel Plant to address various issues. She advocated for transparent communication and consideration of local sentiments in this process. Tiwari made these remarks during a meeting with the Chairman of SAIL, his team, secretaries of relevant departments, and the Bokaro district administration. The discussions revolved around several issues in Bokaro Steel City. She highlighted ongoing developmental projects within SAIL under the Steel Policy, urging that the local populace should not feel left behind. She stressed the need to understand the feelings and sentiments of local residents and to proceed positively on a human basis. Furthermore, she encouraged SAIL to focus on providing employment opportunities to youth trained in various trades and to solve local problems through local-level coordination. The meeting also addressed the resettlement of displaced persons and the proposal to restructure nine panchayats in the Chas block, which was proposed by the District Panchayati Raj Department.
