A joint delegation from the Mahanagar Durga Puja Committee, the Zilla Durga Puja Committee, and Shri Mahavir Mandal Ranchi met with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his residential office in Ranchi. During the meeting, the delegation discussed the preparations for the upcoming Durgotsav-2025. The members acknowledged that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, all Durga Puja committees have been receiving full support from the state government and the district administration. They highlighted the regular provision of electricity, water supply, and city cleaning during the Durga Puja. This year, as in previous years, approximately 157 puja pandals, both large and small, are being organized in and around Ranchi, and preparations are in full swing. The delegation requested continued support from the state government, as in previous years. They honored the Chief Minister with an idol of Goddess Durga, a chunari, and angavastra, inviting him and his family to visit the puja pandals. The Chief Minister assured the delegation of the government’s continued support to all Durga Puja committees this year. He urged the district administration and puja organizers to hold meetings to ensure better coordination and harmony, conducting the puja in a peaceful environment. He extended his best wishes and greetings for Durga Puja to the delegation. The Chief Minister expressed the state government’s commitment to developing Ranchi into a model city, keeping in mind the convenience of the general public. He emphasized the government’s focus on making Ranchi beautiful and clean, with a special action plan. He stated the government’s vision for the continuous addition of new connections in the development of cities. He added that the state government would make every effort to provide public amenities and give Ranchi a unique identity. The participation of the general public along with the government is important in the overall development of the city.
