The Madhya Pradesh government’s 2026-27 budget, clocking in at ₹4.65 lakh crore, has drawn sharp political applause from BJP state chief Hemant Khandelwal. He positions it as a transformative document laser-focused on empowering the poor, farmers, youth, and women, setting the stage for accelerated development.

Speaking candidly, Khandelwal highlighted the economic strides: per capita income up 19% to ₹1.79 lakh from ₹1.41 lakh, underscoring policy effectiveness in wealth creation. This fiscal plan isn’t just numbers—it’s a testament to governance delivering real gains.

Farmers stand to gain immensely with one lakh solar pumps and natural farming across one lakh hectares, fostering eco-friendly productivity. The Ladli Behna scheme’s boosted corpus empowers women like never before.

For the youth, hostels are expanding, ₹25,000 crore loans are on tap, 40,000 pension scheme beneficiaries get support, and sports funding hits ₹815 crore. Infrastructure gets ₹21,000 crore under Majra-Tola, and 294 Sandeepani schools signal educational renaissance.

Religious and social commitments include ₹10,000 crore for key community bills and preparations for 2028 mega-events, enhancing spiritual tourism. Khandelwal envisions this budget steering MP to a $2 trillion economy by 2047.

On opposition jibes, he pointed to the budget’s 20-fold growth since 2003’s ₹23,000 crore era, urging acclaim for welfare enhancements. With 15-20% hikes in schemes and more to come, it’s a comprehensive growth narrative.
