The Maharashtra HSC results declared on Saturday have put Palghar district in the spotlight, with 86.68% of its students passing the Class 12 board exams. Statewide, the pass rate stood at 89.79%, with girls shining brighter at 93.15% against boys’ 86.80%.
Palghar saw 53,415 students take the test – 28,724 boys and 24,691 girls. Success came to 24,075 boys (83.81%) and 22,230 girls (90.03%), totaling 46,305 passers. This robust outcome has been celebrated as a testament to dedicated teaching and student effort.
District leaders, from the Guardian Minister to education officer Ashok Patil, praised the achievement, viewing it as a positive indicator of educational advancement. The MSBSHSE exams, conducted between February 10 and March 11 for over 1.5 million students, saw Konkan region lead at 94.14%, with Latur at the bottom with 84.14%.
This year’s results highlight a consistent trend of girls outperforming boys, inspiring continued focus on gender-inclusive education strategies. Palghar’s performance positions it as a model for other districts aiming to boost academic excellence.
