Former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren to Plough Land in Ranchi to Protest Land Acquisition

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren is set to lead a protest on the proposed land for RIMS-2 in Ranchi. The administration has implemented tight security measures, including the imposition of Section 144. Soren alleges that land acquisition regulations were not followed. The protest, anticipated to draw thousands of villagers, has prompted the deployment of water cannons and rubber bullets. The demonstration is against violations of land acquisition laws and the CNT Act.

Champai Soren will plough the land today and plant paddy, as a form of protest against the acquisition.
