A major sex racket has been exposed in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Police raided a hotel, arresting several young men and women found in compromising positions. The raid caused a stir among other hotels in the area. The incident took place in the Vaishali Nagar police station area.
The police had received information about illegal activities at Hotel Isha, located at Gada Chowk, Supela, for several days. Following the information, the police conducted a raid late on September 1. The hotel owner, manager, and customers were arrested during the raid. Two mobile phones were also recovered from them. During interrogation, the hotel owner revealed that he used to bring girls from other states and fix prices with customers by sending them their photos and details on WhatsApp.
The police have arrested the absconding hotel owner, Nikhil Meshram alias Nikku, and sent him to judicial remand. During the raid at the hotel, the police recovered two 500-rupee notes from manager Shiv Kumar Kurre. Additionally, five boxes of objectionable items from a private company were seized from the hotel. Customer Mohammad Shoaib Khan has been arrested, and the police are investigating the case.
