BJP MP's Sister Allegedly Assaulted After Secret Filming and Protest

Reena Rajput, the sister of Farrukhabad BJP MP Mukesh Rajput, was reportedly attacked by her in-laws in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, following a dispute over secret filming. The incident occurred after Reena protested against being secretly filmed while bathing. A video documenting the assault, allegedly showing her father-in-law publicly beating her, has circulated on social media. She filed a complaint with the police detailing long-term domestic violence and attempts by her in-laws to force her out of the household. Reena stated that her father-in-law and brother-in-law filmed her while she was bathing and, upon her objection, she was assaulted with a rifle butt. The complainant has been married for 17 years and alleges ongoing harassment, including physical abuse, by her in-laws. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
