Following the use of offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during Rahul Gandhi’s voter rights campaign on August 27th in the Bithauli area of Simri police station in Darbhanga, police have arrested a man. The arrested individual, identified as Mohammad Rizvi, also known as Raja, is a driver who operates a pickup van. He also runs a tire repair shop. This information was confirmed by SDPO-2 of Darbhanga Sadar, Surendra Kumar Suman, during a press conference. The FIR was filed by BJP district president Aditya Narayan Manna, with Congress leader Mohammad Naushad as the main accused. The accused, Mohammad Rizvi, was presented to the media by the police. Investigations are ongoing, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings. The motive behind the abusive language remains unclear. The incident, which occurred during Rahul Gandhi’s voter rights campaign in Bihar, was captured on video and quickly spread on social media. The video prompted criticism from the BJP against the Congress. The organizer of the rally, Naushad, has since apologized to PM Modi.
