During a rally in Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, known for his political commentary, shared a lighthearted moment with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Responding to remarks from LJP chief Chirag Paswan, who had called him a ‘hanger-on’ of Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi chose humor over confrontation. He playfully advised Paswan to marry, stating that Paswan was like an elder brother. This lighthearted comment shifted the focus from political arguments to a more personal topic. Rahul Gandhi then quipped that the advice also applied to him, to which Tejashwi responded that his father, Lalu Yadav, had been suggesting the same for a long time. In the context of the upcoming elections, Gandhi affirmed the unity of all INDIA bloc members in Bihar, and announced a common manifesto would be released soon. Earlier that day, Gandhi and Yadav participated in the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Purnia, riding a motorcycle through the streets, as part of their 1,300-km march which started on August 17 from Sasaram and will conclude in Patna on September 1.
