A violent clash erupted in Purnia, Bihar, stemming from a land dispute between two parties. The altercation involved the use of arrows, resulting in serious injuries. Reports also suggest that gunfire was employed during the conflict. The incident occurred in the Hanuman Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of Raghuvansh Nagar OP police station. The dispute centered around 35 decimal units of land and resulted in two individuals sustaining critical arrow wounds. Following the event, a large police presence was deployed, transforming the village into a heavily guarded zone.
The injured individuals were swiftly transported to a hospital. The two victims, identified as cousins, suffered arrow injuries to their chests and stomachs. Medical professionals worked diligently to remove the arrows. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene; however, the accused had already fled. Subsequently, the police apprehended the accused and placed them in custody. The village is currently experiencing heightened tension. The injured are receiving medical treatment at Purnia Medical College.
