During a rally in Khagaria, Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched a direct attack on Lalu Yadav and the Congress party. Kumar stated that when Lalu Yadav was removed from power, he appointed his wife, Rabri Devi, as Chief Minister. Kumar asserted that during their 15-year rule, they did nothing for Bihar, particularly for women. He appealed to the public, reminding them of the dire situation in Bihar before 2005, where people feared leaving their homes after 7 PM due to the prevalence of fear and conflict. Kumar emphasized his government’s efforts in empowering women, including providing 50% reservation in Panchayati Raj and creating employment opportunities for lakhs of women through self-help groups.
