Political tensions are escalating in Bihar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, particularly concerning voter verification. A controversy has erupted, initially involving RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who was accused of possessing two distinct EPIC numbers. Now, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha, is also under scrutiny, facing similar allegations. RJD claims Sinha has two EPIC cards, releasing both numbers on social media. One card is from his ancestral village in Lakhisarai, while the other is from the Bankipur assembly constituency in Patna. The Lakhisarai card displays the EPIC number IAF 39393370, and the Patna card has the number AFS0853341, with serial number 767. Tejashwi Yadav has accused Vijay Sinha of age fraud, pointing out discrepancies in the ages listed on the two cards. He questioned whether the Election Commission or local authorities would take action, accusing the BJP of undermining democracy. The RJD leader emphasized that the issue is now also in the court and they will provide full evidence of the fraud, stating the situation shows fraud.
