An on-duty police constable was slapped by the cousin of Andhra Pradesh Minister BC Janardhan Reddy Badha during the inauguration of a temple in the Nandyal district. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media. The event took place at the newly opened Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Kolimigundla Mandal. Sub Inspector Jaswanth Kumar, while on duty, reportedly prevented Bobbala Madana Bhupal Reddy, the Minister’s cousin, from entering a restricted area. Following the confrontation, Reddy allegedly verbally abused and physically assaulted the constable in public. Kolimigundla police have filed a case, leading to Bhupal Reddy’s arrest. Minister BC Janardhan Reddy condemned the actions, stating that he instructed officials to take legal action. The YSR Congress Party has criticized the incident, expressing concerns about the state of law and order.
