  • This Father’s Day give your father the gift of good health, include all these nutrients in his diet…

Father’s Day 2024: Every year the third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father’s Day. This year Father’s Day will be celebrated on June 16. This day is dedicated to fathers. People all over the world celebrate this day with great pomp to express respect and love for their father. Earlier this day was celebrated only in foreign countries but now people in India also celebrate this day very well. With increasing age, many types of changes are seen in a person’s body. Especially after the age of 50, the body has a special need for vitamins and minerals. Their deficiency causes many types of damage to the body.

On the occasion of Father’s Day, let us know about those nutrients that should be included in the diet of every father above 50 years of age. So that they can enjoy a healthy life.

    Calcium (Father’s Day 2024)

As you age, your body starts losing more minerals than it absorbs. This weakens your bones and increases the risk of osteoporosis. Women are more prone to this problem, especially after menopause. Calcium helps muscles, nerves, cells and blood vessels to function properly. Most of it comes from food. Women over 50 and men over 70 should take about 20% more calcium than other adults. Make sure to include milk, curd and cheese in your diet.

    Vitamin B12

It helps make blood and nerve cells. Naturally, it can be obtained from meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. It can be obtained through medicines and B12 fortified foods. 30% of people over the age of 50 have atrophic gastritis, which makes it difficult for your body to absorb it from foods. You can also get it through supplements.

    Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps muscles, nerves and the immune system to function properly. Most people get some amount of vitamin D from sunlight. However, with age the body’s ability to convert sunlight into vitamin D decreases. Vitamin D is not available in large quantities through food, however fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines are a good source of it.

    Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 helps the body to fight germs and produce energy. It helps in increasing brain power in children. With increasing age, the need for this vitamin in the body increases. Some studies have found that elderly people who have a good amount of vitamin B6 have a good memory. Chickpeas, chickpeas, fatty fish and fortified breakfast are good sources of this.

    Magnesium

It helps your body to make protein and bones. It also keeps blood sugar stable. You can get it from nuts, seeds, and leafy vegetables. As we age, most people have to take medicines for various diseases. This also causes magnesium deficiency in the body.

    Probiotics

These bacteria are good for the intestines. It can be taken through fermented foods like yogurt, sauerkraut. It can also be taken as a supplement. It prevents diarrhea, poor digestive system and many types of allergies. If you are healthy then it is completely safe to take them. However, people with weak immune system should consult a doctor before taking its supplement.

    Omega 3

These fatty acids are considered very important because your body cannot make them. Omega 3 is necessary for eyes, brain and sperm cells. It prevents Alzheimer’s, arthritis, and eye diseases. For this, include fatty fish, walnuts, canola oil, or flaxseed in your diet.

    Zinc

Zinc deficiency is found in most people. It increases the ability to smell and taste and also helps in fighting infection and inflammation. With increasing age, all the essential functions of the body are possible through zinc. Meat and fortified food are good sources of it.

    Potassium

Potassium is very important for the heart, kidneys, muscles and nerves. It prevents stroke, high blood pressure and osteoporosis. Dried apricots, banana, spinach, milk and yogurt are good sources of it. Consult your doctor before taking its supplement.

    Fiber

As age increases, fiber becomes more important for the body. Fiber prevents the risk of stroke, keeps the stomach clean and controls cholesterol and blood sugar. Women above 50 years of age need at least 21 grams a day while men need 30 grams. This can be obtained through whole grains and vegetables.

  • There will be relief from the hassles caused by FASTags at Toll Plaza, NHAI made a big announcement, now toll tax will be deducted like this

Most people in India use road to travel from one place to another, but during this time they face problems like congestion, disputes and many other problems at toll plazas. But now these daily hassles will become a thing of the past.

Actually, the Government of India is going to implement a new system, due to which there will be no need to stop while traveling on the National Highway. Currently, toll is collected through FASTag. The National Highway Authority is soon going to implement this new toll collection system across the country. NHAI has taken a step forward in this effort and has invited global tenders and EOI.

Now toll tax will be deducted like this

Let us tell you that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited tenders and expressions of interest (EOI) from all over the world to implement the satellite-based electronic toll collection system. NHAI has said in its official statement that this system based on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) will give people traveling on national highways a unique and great experience of paying toll without stopping. The Global Navigation Satellite System will collect toll according to the travel of vehicles, that is, it will be ascertained through satellite how many kilometers the vehicle has traveled and toll will have to be paid accordingly. The purpose of this initiative of NHAI is to eliminate the existing toll booth system on highways.

Currently, toll is collected in this manner in RFID based ETC.

RFID based ETC and GNSS based ETC will work together

NHAI has ordered a major change in the deployment of IT systems and hardware at toll plazas to make tax transactions through FASTag hassle-free for commuters. Only those companies were given the opportunity to do this work who would have extensive experience in this work. The company getting the tender for this work will have to compulsorily buy its equipment from manufacturers certified by the Directorate of Standardization Testing and Quality Certification of the Ministry of Electronics and IT. According to the instructions issued by NHAI’s unit IHMCL, to work with it, the company will have to have STQC certification for all its equipment including RFID reader with antenna, automatic number plate reader, toll lane controller and toll plaza server. System integrators will have to give an undertaking to IHMCL that if any disturbance is found at the toll plaza assigned to them due to the equipment, the agency will have the right to immediately suspend the panel and seize its bank guarantee.

The statement said that NHAI is planning to implement GNSS based electronic toll collection (ETC) system within the existing Fastag system. Initially, there is a plan to adopt a mixed model under the pilot project in which both RFID based ETC and GNSS based ETC will work together.

  • World Blood Donor Day 2024: Date, History, Significance and All That You Need To Know |

The World Blood Donor Day is observed on June 14 of every year all over the world. It is a crucial event established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to promote awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products.

    History:

In 1940, a scientist called Richard Lower performed a blood transfusion between two dogs without any ill effects. This breakthrough allowed the development of modern blood transfusion techniques and made blood donation and transfusion a regular procedure in the healthcare sector.

The date was chosen to honor the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner, the Nobel Prize-winning Austrian immunologist who discovered the ABO blood group system, which revolutionized blood transfusion practices. From that day onwards, the day has been celebrated as World Blood Donor Day.

    Theme:

Each year, the celebration is marked by a specific theme that highlights different aspects of blood donation, the theme of this year is “20 years of celebrating giving: thank you, blood donors!”. The theme is to get more individuals to routinely donate blood and to express gratitude and support to the volunteers for giving freely of their blood in exchange for gifts that can save lives. On this day, people are inspired to give blood, save lives, and spread awareness of the advantages of doing so.

    Significance:

According to WHO’s official website “The 20th anniversary of World Blood Donor Day is an excellent and timely opportunity to thank blood donors across the world for their life-saving donations over the years and honor the profound impact on both patients and donors. It is also a timely moment to address continued challenges, and accelerate progress towards a future where safe blood transfusion is universally accessible.”

Around the world, events are planned to honor this day. Hospitals, blood banks, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) organize blood donation drives to promote and facilitate donations. To reduce transfusion-transmitted illnesses, public health initiatives strive to debunk myths, inform the public about the advantages of blood donation, and encourage safe donation practices. Recognition events celebrate the lives they have saved by honoring seasoned and consistent donors.

A major factor in the success of World Blood Donor Day is community involvement. Events like conferences, workshops, and social media campaigns aid in message dissemination and audience engagement. All levels of participation are welcome, from lone contributors to local groups and governmental entities.

People can participate in World Blood Donor Day by giving blood at nearby facilities or drives, raising awareness on social media, volunteering for charitable causes, and teaching others about the value and advantages of blood donation. People throughout the world can ensure that safe blood is available whenever and wherever it is required by banding together for this cause, strengthening a feeling of common humanity and global solidarity.

On World Blood Donor Day, everyone is urged to support this life-saving initiative by highlighting the critical role that blood donation plays in saving lives.

It was designed to replace a number of older aircraft and fulfill a variety of operational roles, including “interception, ground attack, anti-shipping and aerial reconnaissance”.

The fighter jet that reportedly crashed in Pakistan is the JF-17 Block 2, a dual-seat version, 8 of which were rolled out at PAC Kamra in December 2019.
