  • 18th Lok Sabha Inaugural Session To Witness Fireworks Over Speaker Election, NEET Row |

Monday marks the start of the 18th Lok Sabha’s first session, during which freshly elected members of parliament, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will take the oath of office. The opposition is likely to corner the BJP-led NDA government on the June 26 Speaker election, debates about alleged paper leaks in NEET-UG and UGC-NET, and a dispute over the pro-tem Speaker’s appointment, therefore the first session is expected to be turbulent.

Bhartruhari Mahtab, a legislator from the Bharatiya Janata Party, will take the oath of office as the acting Speaker of the Lok Sabha from President Droupadi Murmu. Mahtab will next ask Leader of the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to swear in as a member of the House.

The Lok Sabha Speaker will be chosen on June 26. The address of President Droupadi Murmu to the joint session of both houses of Parliament is set for June 27.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 293 seats, the INDIA bloc won 234 seats, and the Congress held 99 seats. This is the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha following the general elections.
In the meantime, a meeting of the newly elected Congress MPs has been arranged for today at 10 a.m. at the CPP office in Parliament.

NEET Row To Shadow The Proceedings

After the alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate 2024 (NEET-UG), Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi targeted the BJP and said that they stand with the students.

The row over the appointment of BJP leader Bhartruhari Mahtab as the pro-tem Speaker is expected to shadow the proceedings as opposition claimed that Congress Member K Suresh, who is the senior most member was disregarded by the government.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, who has been appointed as the pro-tem Speaker, will administer the oath to newly elected members and oversee the proceedings of the House.

The Congress has reacted sharply to the central government’s decision to appoint seven-term BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab as Pro-tem Speaker of Lok Sabha over senior-most Dalit MP Kodikkunnil Suresh of Congress, saying that the appointment by the BJP deviates from the traditional practice of appointing the senior member.

Congress leader K Suresh said that there is an eighth-term MP in the House, but a seventh-term MP has been appointed as pro-tem Speaker.

  • Hajj Yatra 2024: So far more than 1000 passengers have died during Hajj pilgrimage, the dead body is not sent back, know why this rule is in Saudi Arabia

Hajj Yatra 2024: More than 1000 Hajj pilgrims (Hajji) have died so far during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. These include 98 Indians. Most of the Hajj pilgrims who lost their lives are from Egypt. It is followed by Indonesia and India. Saudi Arabia is considering the scorching heat as the reason behind these deaths. Because the temperature here is more than 51 degrees. However, Saudi Arabia’s system has come under question regarding the loss of lives on such a large scale during the Hajj pilgrimage. Egypt suspended the licenses of companies taking Hajj pilgrims to Mecca, while some Hajis have raised questions on the health system.

Lok Sabha Session: The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha begins today at 11 am, Speaker’s election, government will prove majority, PM-President’s speech, opposition’s march… Everything you want to know

According to a report, so far 658 pilgrims from Egypt, 200 from Indonesia, 98 from India have lost their lives. Apart from this, pilgrims from Pakistan, Malaysia, Jordan, Iran, Sudan, Iraq have also died. According to a report of Wall Street Journal, many American citizens have also lost their lives in Haj pilgrimage.

Say- Mian sahab zindabad… spit on his feet and made him lick it, kept beating the minor with sticks until he said Allah-hu-Akbar, made a video himself and made it viral, read this story of brutality

According to Saudi Arabia’s Directorate General of Statistics, more than 1.8 million people arrived during Hajj this year. The Hajj season changes every year according to the Islamic calendar and this year it fell in June, one of the hottest months. According to the AFP report, more than half of those who died were not registered, due to which they could not get facilities like AC tents and buses and the soaring temperature also created a lot of difficulties for the people.

How many pilgrims went on Haj from India

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that last year a total of 187 people from India died during the entire Haj period. He said, “This year 1,75,000 Indian pilgrims have gone to Mecca for Haj. The Haj period is from 9 May to 22 July. So far this year 98 people have died. These deaths have occurred due to natural causes, chronic diseases and old age. Six people died on the day of Arafat and four people died due to accidents.

Neither the groom nor the boyfriend was found…. The bride ran away with her lover before the wedding, by the time she returned in the morning, the game was over

What is the temperature of Mecca-Medina? This time it is hotter in Saudi Arabia than last year. The temperature has crossed 51 degrees Celsius. Just last week, Saudi’s Meteorological Department recorded the temperature of Mecca-Medina as 51.8 degrees Celsius. There is extreme heat during the day, the night temperature is also being recorded around 40 degrees Celsius, which is increasing the trouble of the pilgrims.

“The Muslim community took houses, toilets, water and jobs from PM Modi and voted for Congress…”

These are the arguments of the Saudi Arabian Government According to the Saudi Arabian Government, 18 lakh people had registered for the Haj pilgrimage this year. More than half of the Haj pilgrims who died were without registration and had reached Mecca-Medina illegally through travel agents. Since they were not registered, they did not get the facility of air conditioned tents or buses provided by the Saudi Government. The illegal pilgrims had to stay in the open in the scorching heat. According to a report, the pilgrims who have come illegally without registration are being secretly accommodated by the travel agents at such places where there is no arrangement for even electricity and water. Forget about AC, there is not even a fan. In such a situation, the heat is proving to be fatal for them.

… so that is why they don’t bring the dead body

If the pilgrims who go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj die due to any reason, their bodies are buried there. They are not brought back to their country. There is a belief among the followers of Islam that if a person dies in Mecca during the Hajj pilgrimage, then Allah grants them heaven. People say that along with the customs, some rules and regulations have also been made by the Saudi government for burying the bodies of the pilgrims. This is the reason why the bodies of the Hajj pilgrims who take their last breath in Mecca are not sent to their native country. The bodies are buried in Saudi Arabia itself. Later, the death certificate is sent to the relatives. Arrangements have been made to bury the bodies of Hajj pilgrims in the city of Haramain in Saudi Arabia, but if the relatives of any deceased demand the body, then the local authorities also make arrangements to send the body to their native country.

  • Parliament session: Congress upset over pro-tem speaker election, will not assist during oath-taking of MPs

After seventh-term BJP MP Bhratruhari Mehtab was appointed as pro-tem Speaker, instead of Congress leader K Suresh, who is an eighth-term MP, the MPs of the India bloc have decided not to sit on the speaker’s chair to assist the pro-tem Speaker during the oath-taking ceremony of MPs, sources said.

According to the sources, Congress and India Bloc parties are upset with the fact that tradition has been broken as Mehtab was made the Protem Speaker instead of the 8-time Congress MP K Suresh.

The Congress has reacted sharply to the central government’s decision to appoint Mahtab as Pro-tem Speaker of Lok Sabha over senior-most Dalit MP Kodikkunnil Suresh of Congress, saying that the appointment by the BJP deviates from the traditional practice of appointing the senior member.Congress leader K Suresh said that there is an eighth-term MP in the House, but a seventh-term MP has been appointed as pro-tem Speaker.

“We are claiming that an eighth-term MP should be the pro-tem Speaker…They have done wrong, and now the whole country is criticising the decision of the BJP government,” K Suresh said.

Congress MP Hibi Eden said that the NDA government has violated all the traditions and customs.”There are certain customs related to the Parliament of India, and it is always the senior-most member, irrespective of the party, who is given the opportunity to become the pro-tem speaker. It is merely a matter of two days, but it is the respect given to the member, whichever party he/she is from. Unfortunately, a Dalit member, who is an 8-time MP from Kerala has been denied the right to become the pro-tem speaker. This shows the attitude of the NDA government towards the Dalit and the oppressed community of this country. They have violated all the traditions and customs… Even though this session is hardly for 8 days, it should have been in consensus with the opposition because we are representing almost 45 per cent of the country,” he said. The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will witness the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected Members of Parliament, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The first session is expected to be stormy as the opposition is likely to corner the BJP-led NDA government on the election of the Speaker on June 26, discussions regarding allegations of paper leaks in NEET-UG and UGC-NET, and a row over the appointment of the pro-tem Speaker.

President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath to Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker Bhartruhari Mahtab as the pro-tem Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Mahtab will then call upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Leader of the Lok Sabha, to take oath as a member of the House.

On June 26, the Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected. On June 27, President Murmu is scheduled to address the joint sitting of both houses of Parliament.

This is the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha after the general elections, which saw the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secure 293 seats and the INDIA bloc win 234, with the Congress holding 99 of them.

Meanwhile, the Newly Elected Congress MPs meeting is called at 10 am at the CPP office in Parliament today.

After the alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate 2024 (NEET-UG), Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi targeted the BJP and said that they stand with the students.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Mahtab, who has been appointed as the pro-tem Speaker, will administer the oath to newly elected members and oversee the proceedings of the House.

President Murmu also appointed Suresh Kodikunnil, Thalikkottai Rajuthevar Baalu, Radha Mohan Singh, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Sudip Bandyopadhyay to assist the Speaker Protem in oath taking of the newly-elected members.

The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will be held from June 24 and conclude on July 3 for oath/affirmation of newly elected Members. The 264th Session of Rajya Sabha will also commence on June 27 and conclude on July 3.

Moreover, the Samajwadi Party Parliamentary meeting is to be held on Monday in Delhi. The meeting will be chaired by party National President Akhilesh Yadav.

There were many times more people outside the stadium than the crowd present inside the stadium.
