Raipur, December 10, 2024 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while paying tribute to Chhattisgarh's first freedom fighter Martyr Veer Narayan Singh on his 167th death anniversary, said that only those who stand up for their people in difficult circumstances are remembered in history. Stand together. He said that I am happy that the Chhattisgarh government has continued the struggle against hunger launched by Martyr Veernarayan Singh. Chhattisgarh gave the best model of food security to the country. We ensured that no one slept hungry. In Chhattisgarh, we prepared a systematic model of paddy procurement, which was praised across the country. By implementing the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Chhattisgarh for the next five years, he is providing free food grains to 68 lakh families of the state.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said these things while addressing a huge public meeting at the Virat Veer Mela of tribal society organized at Rajarao Pathar Karrejhar in Balod district today. Earlier, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the statue of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh by garlanding him and worshiped the deities of the tribal community and wished for the prosperity and happiness of the people of the state.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai approved the construction of access road and bridge-culvert as per requirement to reach Raja Rao Baba site from the main road. Announced Rs 20 lakh for drinking water arrangement at the fair site and Rs 30 lakh for the construction of Mahila Sadan. Chief Minister Sai also talked about installing a grand statue of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh in the International Cricket Stadium of Nava Raipur. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai also released the book “Nek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat” written by Shri GR Rana.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that on the occasion of Good Governance Day on 25 December 2023, we gave a bonus amount of Rs 3716 crore to 13 lakh farmers for two years of outstanding paddy. We are purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, which is the highest in the country. Last season we purchased a record paddy of 145 lakh metric tonnes. A total amount of Rs 49 thousand crore has been given to the farmers. Tendu leaf collectors are being given remuneration of Rs 5500 per standard bag collected.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi has started PM Janman Yojana for special backward tribes, due to which for the first time, basic facilities like good roads, pure drinking water, education, medicine and electricity have been ensured in their settlements. Also, through Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan, there will be overall development of our 6 thousand 691 tribal villages. He said that to fulfill the dream of developed India, we are determined to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by the year 2047 and have also prepared its vision.
