The anticipation for Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Assi’ ramps up as its powerful new song ‘Man Hawa’ drops, featuring the velvety vocals of Mohit Chauhan. Starring Taapsee Pannu in a riveting courtroom saga, the track has the singer hooked from the very first listen, embodying the movie’s fearless narrative.
In an exclusive chat, Mohit revealed how the song’s opening notes captivated him instantly. This energetic, heartfelt number, crafted by composer Ro chak Kohli and lyricist Kumar, voices the film’s daring dive into investigative drama. Joined by Parampara Tandon and Ro chak Kohli, Mohit’s rendition amplifies the emotions of standing up to difficult truths.
Reflecting on the process, Mohit noted, “I gravitate towards tracks that narrate tales with impact. ‘Man Hawa’ grabbed me right away, and in the studio, I surrendered to its emotions, letting the story unfold naturally.”
Lyrically, it pits bravery against terror, truth against hush, and conviction over concession. The melody gently calms before surging with determination, empowering audiences to battle for their principles no matter the hurdles.
Anubhav Sinha praises it as the film’s pulsating core. “‘Man Hawa’ encapsulates ‘Assi’s soul—honoring the power to defy, fight obstacles, and uphold integrity,” he enthused. It highlights that profound inner force awakened by resolute confrontation.
