‣ Shri Hemant Soren, Chief Minister, Jharkhand
On the occasion of completing 25 years of state formation, Jharkhand is entering a new era of development. The line of development drawn from Santhal Pargana will now extend to the capital Ranchi. This is not just geographical expansion, but a big step towards social and economic empowerment. In the coming time, this Flying Institute will not only fulfill the dreams of the state’s youth but also give Jharkhand a distinct identity in the field of aviation training across the country. The Flying Institute, whose foundation stone was laid in 2008, has today spread its wings of dreams. This is not just an institution but an important step towards fulfilling the dreams of Baba Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. The Chief Minister, Shri Hemant Soren, said this today at the inauguration ceremony of the “Jharkhand Flying Institute” from Sidhu-Kanhu Airport, Dumka.
The Chief Minister further said that in the first phase, 30 pilots will be trained through this Flying Institute. The state government itself will bear the entire cost of training for 15 of these pilots. This will not only provide high-level aviation training to the youth of Jharkhand but also enable them to make their mark at the national and international levels. He said that during the Corona period, the state government set an example of humanity by safely bringing thousands of migrant workers back to their homes by airplane. Today, concrete steps are being taken towards producing pilots and aircraft engineers from among the sons and daughters of those same labourer families. This is the story of change that signals Jharkhand’s new flight.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister understood every nuance related to training in depth. He himself, along with trainees and captains, inspected the techniques, equipment, and every aspect of aviation training. During this, the Chief Minister also observed aviation safety, rigorous theory classes for pilots, simulator training, flight operations, and emergency management methods.
Our government does what it says
The Chief Minister further said that “Our government does what it says”— the government has taken special steps in areas like education, health, and economic empowerment to empower half of the state’s population. In the field of education, the establishment of excellent schools has started bringing quality education, enabling the holistic development of youth. Particularly, the “Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme” is an important initiative of the state government, which works to brighten the future of students by sending them abroad for higher education. Under this scheme, 25 students are selected every year and the entire cost of their education abroad is borne by the state government. This includes students from Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and minority communities. This step exemplifies the commitment of the state government to do what it says. This scheme not only provides opportunities for higher education but also helps in making youth self-reliant and preparing them for global competition.
Our government is a government that runs from villages, not from headquarters
The Chief Minister said that our government is a government that runs from villages, not from headquarters. In this direction, the “Right to Service” program has emerged as an important initiative, under which officials are now going to the Panchayat level to listen to and resolve the problems of the rural public directly. Under the program, government services and benefits of schemes are being delivered directly to the public by organizing camps in various blocks and Panchayats. He said that if problems are not resolved within the stipulated time by the officials, action will be taken against those officials. During the Right to Service week, facilities like caste, residence, income certificates, ration cards, social security pension approval, etc., are being provided at the village level. You can also apply for government schemes at the camps itself.
The state government is fully committed to solving the problems of farmers
The Chief Minister said that today I inspected the progress of the Masalia-Raneshwar Mega Lift Irrigation Project. This project is an ambitious scheme of the state government and is being built to provide year-round irrigation facilities to the farmers of this region. Farmers will be free from water scarcity throughout the year with the Masalia-Raneshwar Mega Lift Irrigation Scheme, which will increase their crop yield and income and develop new agricultural possibilities in the region. The Chief Minister further said that the state government is fully committed to solving the problems of farmers. The successful implementation of this project will improve the lifestyle of the farmers.
During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated 12 schemes worth Rs 190.647 crore and laid the foundation stone for 14 schemes worth Rs 123.48 crore of various departments. Besides, assets were distributed among 23 beneficiaries, providing them with new opportunities for livelihood enhancement and economic empowerment. The distributed assets include motor tricycles for the disabled, motorcycles, mini medical units, buses, JUN hostels, and financial assistance.
