Chief Minister holds a review meeting of the Water Resources Department
Raipur, November 07, 2025/ Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai held a review meeting of the Water Resources Department at the Chief Minister’s residence office located in the capital Raipur. He obtained detailed information about all the under-construction and ongoing irrigation projects in the state and instructed that all works should be completed with quality and the speed of construction work should be increased.
Giving necessary guidelines to the departmental officers, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that water resource projects are the pivot of the all-round development of the state. He said that it is extremely necessary for irrigation projects to be completed within the stipulated time frame to ensure the availability of clean drinking water to the public and adequate water supply for agricultural works. The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officers to speed up the work on all under-construction and ongoing irrigation projects.
In the meeting, the Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Mr. Rajesh Sukumar Toppo, informed the Chief Minister about the current status of the under-construction irrigation projects in the state through a PowerPoint presentation.
Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr. P. Dayanand, and senior officials of the Water Resources Department were present in the meeting.
