Fifteen migrant workers from Jharkhand, hailing from the districts of Giridih, Hazaribagh, and Dhanbad, are stranded in Dubai and have appealed for assistance. The workers were employed by Masai Contracting LLC. A video circulating on social media shows the workers stating they haven’t received their wages for the past three months, leading to a crisis in accessing food and other necessities. The workers have requested the central and state governments to facilitate their return to India. Social activist Sikandar Ali, who works for migrant laborers in Jharkhand, has urged both the central and state governments to take concrete steps to ensure the safe return of these workers. This incident highlights a recurring issue where migrant workers face exploitation after seeking employment abroad.
