Raipur / Union Minister of Rural Development and Agriculture, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief guest at the “Mor Awas Mor Adhikar” program held in Ambikapur today, observed the beneficiary-oriented exhibitions and interacted directly with the beneficiaries.

During this time, he spoke with Kripa Shankar Singh, a member of the tribal fishermen’s committee, Bardamali, and inquired about his income and facilities. Kripa Shankar told the minister that there are a total of 45 members in the committee and that all of them benefit from ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 throughout the year. He also said that he received a fishing net under a grant for only ₹10,000.

Brij Kumar said that he got an agricultural pump worth ₹23,000 for only ₹15,000, which saved him ₹8,000 directly. Both Kripa Shankar and Brij Kumar expressed their happiness and said that this was the first time they had the opportunity to interact face-to-face with a Union Minister, which was a proud moment for them. They said that the schemes being run by the central and state governments are reaching the grassroots level and bringing positive changes to people’s lives.
