The Chief Minister said that tourism has been granted the status of an industry in the new industrial policy of the state government. There is also a provision for grants for the development of tourism facilities in these areas, which will enable the development of tourism infrastructure with the cooperation of investors. Investors should also be contacted at the national level to exploit these possibilities. He said that 2 crore tourists visit tourist places in the state annually.

With the aim of providing regular employment to the local residents of the tourism sector, the Chief Minister has also directed that people be connected with small cottage industries, including homestays. He said that villagers in tourism areas should also be encouraged to promote the homestay business.
