Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be open till 31 December, two-wheeler ban

According to information coming from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be opened by 31 December in the prescribed time frame. Entry will also be restricted for two-wheelers on this expressway. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started putting restrictions on the entry of two-wheelers on the expressway.

Although according to officials, some construction on the expressway will not be completed till the deadline, but preparations are underway to start the expressway. Two-wheeler entry to the expressway main corridor from Delhi itself will be restricted. It is being implemented in view of the safety of two-wheeler drivers on the High Speed ​​Expressway.

The total length of the Delhi-Meerut Express is 60 kilometers and it is divided into four sections. The first section in four sections is eight kilometers from Nizamuddin to UP Gate, the second section is 19 kilometers from UP Gate to Dasna, the third section is 22 kilometers from Dasna to Hapur and the fourth section is 32 km from Dasna to Meerut. There are 14 lanes till Dasna followed by 6 lanes. The cost of construction of this expressway is 7 thousand crores.

Vehicles have started running on the expressway after the construction of the first and third sections of it are completed. Construction work is going on on the second and fourth section. Construction work on these is to be completed by 31 December.

Earlier, entry of two-wheelers on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway is also closed, although there is a lot of movement of two-wheelers. Two-wheeler drivers will be prohibited from traveling on the expressway due to very limited entry and exit on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

Two-wheeler drivers from Nizamuddin to Dasna can easily walk on the highway built along the express way. But as soon as the expressway from Dasna goes for Meerut, there will be no entry of two-wheelers.
