It has been more than a month since leaks and rumours of the Redmi K30 started floating on the web. However, Xiaomi will take the curtains off today from the highly hyped Redmi K30 in China. The Redmi K30 will be the successor to the Redmi K20 launched a few months ago and chances are high that it could make it to India. And not the only the phone but Redmi is also launching a new RedmiBook model as well as two IoT devices at the event.
The Redmi K30 launch will be livestreamed on Weibo and if you are interested in watching the launch event, you can follow the link to the Redmi K30 livestream launch video. As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t said whether the Redmi K30 is coming to India anytime soon. However, given what the phone has in store for us – thanks to leaks- Xiaomi could bring it as its flagship to the Indian market.
Redmi K30
The Redmi K30 will be officially unveiled today but everything about it has been unveiled through leaks or teasers. There will be two versions of the Redmi K30- one will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G and support 4G networks only whereas the other variant will come with the Snapdragon 765G and it will support 5G networks. Another highlight of the Redmi K30 will be the camera, where Redmi will debut Sony’s 64-megapixel IMX686 sensor as the phone’s main camera.
For display nerds, the Redmi K30 will get a 6.67-inch LCD display with thin bezels, a cutout for dual selfie cameras and, wait for it- 120Hz refresh rate. Redmi is also expected to offer the phone with 30W fast charging.
However, the leaks have also revealed the price and it might end up being as affordable as the Redmi K20. The base variant of the Redmi K30 with 4G connectivity could start at Rs 20,000 and this same variant could make it to India as well.
