Due to absence of Aadhaar card, can not refuse to enroll in school

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said on Wednesday that schools can not refuse to enroll children in the absence of Aadhaar card and it would be illegal to do so. UIDAI encouraged the schools to work together with the local banks, post offices, state education departments and the district administration to create a special card for updating and updating the base cards of children in their premises. In a notification received by PTI, UIDAI said, “It should be ensured that due to the Aadhaar card, no child should be deprived of the benefits and his rights.” UIDAI also warned that if children are denied admission without the basis, then it will be illegal under the law and it is not allowed to do so. This step of UIDAI is great relief for the students and parents of those children who did not have the Aadhaar number. UIDAI said, “Unless the Aadhaar number is issued for such students and biometrics are updated, they should be provided through other means of identifying all the facilities.”
