These people took part in the entrance examination for admission in the degree course of Indira Gandhi National Open University. Earlier, the government has urged the Naxalite groups in different states of the country to leave the weapon and return to the path of peace. A large number of Naxalites have left arms in many states too. But still this big number of the country remains. It is even reported that more paramilitary forces become victims of Naxalite attacks than terror attacks.

8 Naxalites surrender in Chhattisgarh

In Naxal-affected Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, eight Naxalites have surrendered before the police. Police officials of Bastar district told that eight Naxalites have surrendered before the CRPF and police officials in the headquarters of the 80th battalion of the CRPF located in Jagdalpur, headquarters of Bastar district. Officials said that the Maoists who surrendered include Jaggu Podiyami (59), Baman (32), Lakhmu (25), Telugu (22), Sanu (25), Lalu (28), Hidma (23) and Navin alias Lachchu . He told that the new Amdai Valley was a member of the LoS.

Officials said that the Naxalites who surrendered were with the organization from 2014. They are accused of hurting rail tracks and setting fire to vehicles engaged in road construction. The Maoists who surrendered said that they have decided to surrender due to the hollow ideology and violence of the Maoists. Now he wants to live a better life by joining the mainstream. Police officials said that the cash, clothes and other goods of Rs 10 thousand have been provided to the Maoists who surrendered. They will be assisted under the rehabilitation policy of the state government.
