In the Gandhi Nagar police station area, in the village of Digama, a husband has been arrested for the murder of his wife. The incident occurred after a dispute, allegedly fueled by alcohol. Police were alerted and arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. Preliminary reports indicate that on Saturday night, the husband, identified as Umashankar, began arguing with his wife. The altercation escalated, and the husband reportedly strangled his wife, Shila, with a stick. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found injury marks on the victim’s neck. Umashankar has been taken into custody as the investigation continues.
