Thousands of Gen-Z individuals took to the streets in dozens of Italian cities. Schools and colleges were shut down due to the large crowds of young people. Trains were also stopped in several cities. Similarly, Gen-Z protesters caused disruptions at ports. The protests were in response to the ongoing military operations in Gaza, which have resulted in numerous casualties, including children. These actions have been described as one of the largest nationwide demonstrations in Europe.
