As ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ gears up for its May 8 release, Deepak Dutta dishes on the butterflies he felt working alongside Bollywood icon Neetu Kapoor. The actor, currently riding high on the film’s promotions, couldn’t hide his fanboy excitement.
‘Neetu Kapoor has been my idol since childhood—her playful vibe in films like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ hooked me,’ Deepak confessed. That admiration turned into real-life nerves on set. ‘I was shaking before our first scene, but her effortless grace put me right at ease.’
Praising her down-to-earth personality, Deepak noted, ‘She’s a megastar yet so approachable. Her humility shines through, making co-stars feel like family.’ This experience transformed his apprehension into cherished memories.
Landed via an audition call from casting guru Mukesh Chhabra, Deepak’s character hits close to home. ‘It’s a part every son can relate to, packed with emotion and depth,’ he explained.
The 50-day Shimla shoot was magical, surrounded by stunning landscapes and a top-notch crew. ‘Producers, tech team—everyone poured their hearts into it,’ he said. Featuring Kapil Sharma’s comic flair and debutante Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, the film blends humor with family bonds. Don’t miss this cinematic treat hitting screens soon.
