In a bold prediction amid spiritual reflections, BJP leader Tarun Chugh forecasted a landmark victory for his party in West Bengal, attributing it to widespread disillusionment with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s TMC government.
Chugh, the party’s National General Secretary, began his day with an ardass at Delhi’s Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, followed by worship at Tirupati Balaji Temple. Emerging from these visits, he told reporters, ‘Bengal’s electorate is handing PM Narendra Modi a powerful mandate. The public is fed up with Mamata’s hubris, family favoritism, brutality, and radical policies.’
He pointed out Banerjee’s preemptive acceptance of potential loss. ‘Come May 4, the results from ballot boxes will confirm BJP’s triumph, leading to a synchronized double-engine administration under Modi’s guidance in the state.’
Chugh slammed Banerjee’s selective trust in EVMs: ‘Victory means EVMs are perfect; defeat implies tampering.’
Praising the ECI’s decision to station 242 extra observers for Bengal’s counting process, he stated, ‘Impartiality in elections is non-negotiable. The Commission’s proactive measures deserve applause from every political outfit. Those prioritizing lineage over democratic will are undermining the system.’
On the Gurdwara’s significance, Chugh noted, ‘This hallowed ground inspires resilience. Guru Teg Bahadur’s sacrifice during eras of tyranny, widespread violence, temple vandalism, and coerced faith changes rallied the nation with renewed vigor.’
Bengal’s people, he argued, have opted for BJP’s development agenda. TMC’s confusion tactics are futile now, as the momentum builds for change.
With polls concluded, anticipation mounts for a transformative outcome that could redefine West Bengal’s future under BJP stewardship.
