Nepal Protests: Social Media Ban Fuels Unrest, Spilling into India

The repercussions of the Nepal protests are being felt across the border in India. Reports indicate that protesters have targeted villages near the India-Nepal border. On Wednesday, demonstrations also erupted in Darchula and Baitadi, Nepali regions adjacent to Jhulaghat and Dharchula. In Darchula, protesters vandalized the offices of the Congress and CPN-UML parties. Instances of arson were also reported.
