In a significant leap for Ahmedabad’s traffic management, the newly built Satadhar four-lane flyover has brought relief to lakhs of residents in the city’s west. Opened amid much fanfare, this engineering feat promises to redefine connectivity along one of the busiest stretches.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel cut the ribbon on March 29 for the 936-meter structure costing 90 crores, wide enough at 16.60 meters to handle heavy traffic flow. Positioned at Ghatlodia’s Satadhar Junction, it bypasses the Naranpura-Science City route, where gridlocks were once routine.

The impact is immediate and profound. Over 1.5 lakh daily users from surrounding areas including Sola, Thaltej, and Chanakyapuri now enjoy seamless passage. ‘Time and fuel savings are real,’ enthused local Vishal Upadhyay. Fellow residents Kiritbhai Barot and Hardik Shah echoed sentiments of gratitude, labeling it a governmental masterstroke.

Backed by the state under the Golden Jubilee urban scheme and swiftly built by the municipal corporation, the flyover fulfills the CM’s vision. It underscores Gujarat’s proactive infrastructure push, reducing congestion and boosting productivity across key suburbs.

Looking ahead, this project signals more to come. Ahmedabad’s transport network is evolving, with residents reaping benefits of efficient, modern roadways that support the city’s dynamic growth and daily life rhythms.
