In a rallying cry ahead of West Bengal’s crucial first-phase voting on 152 assembly seats, BJP president Nitin Nabin warned that Mamata Banerjee’s TMC government is on the brink of collapse. Campaigning in Naihati, Nabin told IANS that Thursday’s polls signal the dawn of a new era for the state.
‘The people of Bengal will vote to dismantle the TMC tyranny,’ he proclaimed. Highlighting a litany of grievances, Nabin charged that TMC enforcers have turned extortion and harassment into a daily ordeal, shattering the sacred promise of ‘Maa, Maati, Manush.’ ‘They came to power on this slogan but desecrated it. Now, the public will throw them out,’ he emphasized.
Criticizing TMC’s disdain for constitutional norms, Nabin said their faith lies solely in muscle power, not the rule of law. This arrogance, he argued, has invited widespread condemnation.
Nabin didn’t spare the Congress, slamming Mallikarjun Kharge’s barbs at PM Modi. ‘History shows every Congress insult to Modi boomerangs on them. Bengal’s electorate will deliver the same lesson through their ballots,’ he vowed.
The BJP leader’s day included a devotional visit to the iconic Boro Ma Kali Temple in Naihati. Bowing before the deity, he prayed for national harmony and citizen well-being. This sacred site embodies Bengal’s vibrant traditions and unwavering devotion to Maa Kali, channeling positive energies into devotees’ lives.
As tensions simmer in poll-bound Bengal, Nabin’s message resonates with those disillusioned by alleged lawlessness. The first phase could prove pivotal, potentially heralding a shift from TMC dominance to a more accountable governance model.
