Thakur Exposes Congress Anti-Women Stance After Bill Rejection

In a blistering critique from Lucknow, BJP firebrand Anurag Thakur tore into the opposition’s rejection of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. ‘Congress has declared war on India’s 70 crore women,’ he told journalists, pinpointing SP, DMK, and TMC as co-conspirators.

Thakur painted a vivid picture of missed opportunity. ‘Imagine: Lok Sabha seats surging to 850, general category boosted, women empowered—all aligned with 140 crore population versus 1971’s 54 crore baseline.’ He challenged: ‘Oppose growth? Block women’s rights? That’s their playbook.’

Recounting neglect under Congress rule—no toilets, no rations, no pucca homes—Thakur contrasted with Modi’s transformative schemes. ‘They fear BJP reaping rewards from 33% quota,’ he said, quoting Modi’s magnanimous plea: ‘Claim the glory, ensure seats for women.’

History repeats, Thakur lamented: Deve Gowda’s 1996 bill shelved to Geeta Mukherjee committee; Vajpayee’s four attempts killed; UPA’s Rajya Sabha nod ignored in Lok Sabha. ‘Dynastic outfits hoard seats for kin; ordinary women suffer,’ he jabbed.

On technical hurdles, he countered: Bill set for 2029 post-delimitation and caste census, even provisioning PoK seats. ‘Every demand met, yet they voted no. Why the betrayal?’ Thakur demanded. This rejection, he warned, unmasks their true colors, setting the stage for electoral reckoning.
