During a surprise inspection last day at the Composite Country Liquor Shop, Tumgaon, the hologram of the foreign liquor bottle was found damaged, while during investigation adulteration was found. On this, two employees of the liquor shop were immediately expelled from service. Along with this, the department has so far taken action against 12 employees. In view of the smooth operation of liquor shops and security of excise revenue, Secretary cum Excise Commissioner R. Instructions have been given by Shangita and Collector Prabhat Malik regarding continuous inspection and strict monitoring of liquor shops, in compliance with which, intensive inspection of liquor shops is being done by all the circle in-charge officers of the district.

In this connection, during a surprise inspection at the Composite Country Liquor Shop, Tumgaon, the hologram of a bottle of After Dark Whiskey kept at the liquor sales counter was found to be damaged, along with it, the liquor was found to be adulterated in a rapid test. On this, Section 38-A CrPC has been registered against the shop’s chief salesman Vijay Brahme and salesman Kishan Pandey. After registering the case under the Act, both the employees were immediately expelled from service and blacklisting action was taken.

The action was taken under the leadership of Excise Sub Inspector Circle-Mahasamund Interik Hriday Kumar Tirpude. During this, Excise Sub Inspector Darsaram Soni, Vrit-Mahasamund City and Excise staff along with placement agency Sumit Facilities Pvt. Ltd. District representative Pravesh Kumar Jain and field officer Golden Kumar were present.

Recently, criminal cases have been registered against two main salesmen and four salesmen in cases of liquor adulteration in foreign liquor shops – Sankara and Basna, and action has been taken to expel them from service and to blacklist them, and in foreign liquor shops – Shitalinala, action has been taken against them for over rates. In another case, punitive action like termination of service and blacklisting has been taken against a chief salesman, two salesmen and a multipurpose worker.
