In a significant move to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, JSLPS has partnered with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park through a strategic MoU. This collaboration targets women associated with Sakhi Mandals, offering them expert guidance to navigate the complexities of modern business landscapes.
Spanning three years, the initiative will cover Jharkhand’s 24 districts and 264 blocks. IIMCIP’s incubation expertise will help these women refine their enterprises to meet evolving market needs, driving economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
The rollout begins with documenting 50,000 rural women entrepreneurs. Elite training programs will select and mentor the best 500, imparting holistic business management skills. Emphasis is placed on elevating annual turnovers to over one crore, backed by sophisticated technical training methodologies.
The ambition extends to nurturing 150 top performers into high-impact entrepreneurs with crore-level revenues through dedicated incubation. Capacity building for JSLPS staff and CRP-EP cadre ensures sustained momentum. Long-term sustainability is assured by setting up local incubators in each division, all services free of charge.
A robust 5 crore fund supports equity, challenge, and soft loan mechanisms. Sealed by key officials from both organizations, this MoU promises to revolutionize rural entrepreneurship, creating a legacy of empowered women leaders in Jharkhand.
