The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has officially debunked rumors of a paper leak in the Excise Constable competitive examination. In a joint statement with Ranchi Police, authorities clarified that the examination was conducted with full integrity and transparency. The rumors were traced back to a criminal syndicate that had been scamming candidates by providing fake question papers. Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rakesh Ranjan, stated that the operation was aimed at protecting the merit-based recruitment process from external manipulation. Police conducted a coordinated raid in the Tamar police station area, where they discovered 159 candidates gathered in a single building. These candidates were allegedly being trained by a solver gang to memorize answers to what they believed were leaked questions. The gang, led by Bihar-based kingpin Atul Vats, had successfully extorted nearly 15 lakh from each student involved in the scheme.
