In a major push for agricultural transparency, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini revealed on Saturday how the government is transforming the wheat procurement process into a secure, efficient, and pro-farmer model. New protocols are set to eliminate irregularities, speed up transactions, and deliver seamless experiences to cultivators across the state.

Saini was at Kurukshetra’s Babain grain market, scrutinizing the ongoing wheat purchase drive. He held detailed interactions with local farmers on logistics from farm to market, sales procedures, and payment timelines. The growers expressed full satisfaction, confirming smooth operations without any glitches.

Spotting farmer Dharmchand from Hamidpur completing his sale, the CM personally felicitated him with a traditional shawl. The visit began with an enthusiastic reception for Saini and Suman Saini, Vice Chair of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council.

A key highlight was the introduction of a robust three-level crop authentication system. It cross-checks procurement arrivals against registered farmer data, ensuring accuracy and preventing fraud.

‘Our administration is steadfast in procuring every kernel of wheat with complete accountability,’ Saini declared. The focus remains on farmers’ interests through relentless commitment.

Reforms extend to strategic deployments: nodal officers per market, senior monitoring teams, and DCs leading district efforts. Elected representatives routinely inspect sites, guaranteeing zero disruptions for producers.

This comprehensive overhaul not only safeguards farmers’ earnings but also sets a benchmark for modern procurement nationwide, fostering trust and productivity in Haryana’s agrarian heartland.
