In a pointed attack, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh predicted a crushing defeat for Mamata Banerjee in Bhabanipur, claiming she’s already lining up scapegoats. Speaking to media, he quipped that May 4 will seal the fate: TMC’s exit from Bengal and Banerjee’s ouster from her stronghold. ‘She’s searching for alibis before the loss even hits,’ Vallabh remarked.

He painted a grim picture of Banerjee’s tenure, accusing her of double-crossing the people with her ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’ slogan. From protecting rapists to derailing industry, her rule has been a disaster, he said. Development was skewed towards infiltrators, whose names are now being struck off lists, triggering her panic.

On the women’s reservation bill, Vallabh exposed Congress hypocrisy. UPA’s common minimum program promised action, but it was all talk. Congress never wanted women in power structures. Now, with PM Modi’s clarion call for consensus via op-ed and video, the opposition is backpedaling, more interested in politics than progress.

Vallabh appealed for bipartisanship on nation-building issues like Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. ‘Listen to the PM, come to your senses, and back women’s rightful place in politics,’ he urged Congress and INDIA bloc. This isn’t just about one bill; it’s about amplifying half the population’s voice in governance.

With West Bengal polls looming, these barbs signal BJP’s confidence in flipping the narrative against TMC’s fortress.
