The ghosts of the 1990 Ayodhya crackdown refuse to die down, with BJP MLA from Bhopal, Bhagwan Das Sabnani, squarely blaming Mulayam Singh Yadav’s minority appeasement strategy for the infamous firing on Kar Sevaks. In an interview following Nripendra Mishra’s disclosures, Sabnani laid bare the political motivations behind the bloodshed that claimed dozens of lives.

‘Kalyan Singh was clear: no bullets on devotees. But Mulayam, driven by tushthikaran (appeasement) politics, sacrificed innocent Kar Sevaks to win over one vote bank. That sin haunts the Yadav family to this day,’ Sabnani remarked poignantly. The Kar Sevaks’ peaceful march to Ayodhya symbolized a reclamation of national pride from a site marred by invasion-era nomenclature.

Sabnani urged Akhilesh Yadav to seek forgiveness from Ram devotees nationwide, pointing to the stark contrast between the BJP-led restraint and SP’s aggression. ‘Facts are out: one regime held fire, the other commanded it.’

Turning to women’s rights, he hailed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as Modi’s fulfilling promise, unlike Congress’s decades of inaction. ‘They’re protesting because BJP achieved what they couldn’t. Sisters in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and assemblies will get 33% seats, ushering in Viksit Bharat.’

Finally, applauding MP’s anti-conversion law, Sabnani noted its effectiveness against love jihad. ‘Perpetrators and helpers face severe penalties now – a new era of protection for our daughters.’
