Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ignited a people’s revolution against drugs with the launch of the ‘Drug-Free Jammu Kashmir’ campaign from M Stadium in Jammu. Shared on X by the LG’s office, this grassroots movement is designed to permeate every corner of the region, galvanizing all sections of society in the fight against substance abuse.
Over the next three months, the drive will unfold in six strategic stages: widespread awareness campaigns, targeted youth initiatives, robust community involvement, rigorous enforcement of laws, dedicated rehabilitation programs, and rigorous performance assessments. This holistic strategy underscores the government’s resolve to adopt an all-encompassing approach.
In his stirring message, LG Sinha called for unified societal action, stressing that drug abuse transcends personal boundaries—it’s a collective crisis demanding everyone’s resolve. ‘We will not allow any young life, family, or dream to be consumed by this darkness,’ he affirmed, pointing out the human stories hidden behind cold numbers and case files.
