Raisen’s Dussehra Maidan buzzed with energy as the Advanced Agriculture Festival 2026 kicked off on April 11, promising three days of innovation and inspiration for India’s farming community. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the launch, joined by top state and central leaders, amid massive farmer participation.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared the stage, where Singh delivered a powerful speech on farmers’ pivotal role. ‘Our government works tirelessly for farmers because, as PM Modi says, they form the spine of our economy,’ he asserted.
Key schemes took center stage: PM Kisan’s direct Rs 6,000 yearly payouts, crop insurance against disasters, rural infrastructure upgrades, e-mandis for pan-India sales, and strengthened MSP guarantees. Singh spotlighted defence forces’ procurement of organic produce from local farmers and millet inclusion in army diets, driving income growth and sustainable practices.
Singh called on the youth: ‘Leverage drones, AI sensors, and apps to revolutionize farming.’ This tech infusion could skyrocket productivity and profitability.
Chouhan hailed the event as a hub of science and practice, with experts demoing advanced methods like drone spraying and integrated systems. Interactive sessions bridge research and real-world application. Tailored agri plans for local districts underscore a customized approach to prosperity.
From horticulture showcases to millet markets, the festival blends tradition with tomorrow. With Nitin Gadkari closing on April 13, it’s a clarion call for modern agriculture.
