The ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir’ flagship campaign targets total elimination of narcotics via massive public outreach. Sinha called for all-out involvement from educational institutions, youth wings, volunteer groups, and community leaders to amplify impact.
Kicking off with a flagship foot march flagged by the LG at Jammu’s MA Stadium on April 11, the momentum will carry to Srinagar in early May, fostering region-wide awakening.
Sinha didn’t mince words, labeling drug influx as a sinister global plot to derail young lives. He mandated unyielding crackdowns on smuggling syndicates while safeguarding the vulnerable.
‘Our mantra: Protect the innocent, punish the perpetrators,’ he declared, prioritizing rehab for those ensnared by addiction. Discussions covered detailed timelines for sectoral actions, backed by pre-constituted oversight panels.
To ignite a mass movement, Sinha advocated integrating citizen inputs and incentivizing tips on illicit activities. The strategy blends enforcement, awareness, and rehabilitation for holistic success.
