In a confident assertion from Ranchi, BJP stalwart Pratul Shahdeo forecasted a decisive victory for his party in West Bengal, promising an absolute majority government. The statement comes as elections heat up in the eastern state, with Shahdeo targeting alleged electoral malpractices head-on.
During an interaction with IANS, Shahdeo laid out his vision: a BJP-led administration dismantling the machinery of fraud that has propped up the TMC regime. He estimated around 91 lakh bogus entries in voter lists, manipulated through pliant local officials. The recent siege of judicial officers in Malda for nine hours exemplifies this control, he said.
The bureaucracy’s loyalty to the ruling dispensation was starkly revealed when the Chief Secretary snubbed the Calcutta High Court Chief Justice’s calls, necessitating CJI’s directive. “BJP will cleanse this rot,” Shahdeo affirmed, pledging to expel illegal immigrants.
On polling in three states, he called for massive turnout, emphasizing democratic participation. BJP’s surge in Kerala has silenced naysayers, proving the party’s growing footprint. Regarding RSS barbs from rivals, Shahdeo hailed it as a selfless force, with volunteers sacrificing for the nation during pandemics and disasters over 100 years.
