In a pointed critique from Patna, Bihar Social Justice Minister Ramkripal Yadav has advised West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee to give up her reliance on phantom voters for political survival. The BJP leader accused the TMC government of fostering illegal immigration from Bangladesh, leading to polluted voter rolls.

‘If the Election Commission is cleaning up by removing infiltrators, why is Mamata upset?’ Yadav asked rhetorically during an IANS interview. He dismissed her claims of 90 lakh legitimate deletions as a desperate cover-up for fake entries benefiting her party.

Yadav firmly endorsed Home Minister Amit Shah’s deportation policy, stressing that India must protect its borders by repatriating unauthorized entrants. This aligns with the central government’s zero-tolerance approach to illegal migration.

On the oil front, he explained the price surge as a consequence of the ongoing Gulf turmoil. ‘Our import dependence leaves us vulnerable to such global shocks,’ Yadav said, urging public understanding of these economic compulsions.

These comments highlight deepening rifts over electoral integrity and national security. As polls near, Yadav’s salvo could galvanize BJP’s campaign in Bengal, framing TMC as soft on infiltration while prioritizing clean governance and border security.
