Date: April 07, 2026
Raipur – As per the directions of the government, today on April 07, 2026, a comprehensive and effective “Employment Day” and “Housing Day” was organized along with a Rice Festival in all the Gram Panchayats of the state. Prior to the program, pending cases and problems at various levels were resolved, paving the way for the smooth implementation of schemes.
The “Nava Tariya – Aay Ke Zariya” initiative under the “Mor Gaon – Mor Pani – Mor Tariya” campaign, operated by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, presented a strong example of public participation. With the active participation of youth and women from self-help groups, sites for the construction of new ponds for water conservation were identified, and a concrete action plan was prepared to complete the work within the stipulated time frame.
Special emphasis was placed on accelerating works under MGNREGA, completing ongoing construction works expeditiously, and starting new demand-based works. Along with this, a framework for Livelihood Layering activities was also prepared to increase the income of rural families through livelihood ponds.
A detailed action plan was made at the Gram Panchayat level with the goal of completing sanctioned houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) within a maximum of 90 days. Information about the amount received by beneficiaries was provided, and their problems were resolved on the spot. Directions were also given to promote rainwater harvesting and expedite pending geo-tagging work.
In the program, the role of sisters from self-help groups was strengthened, and they were encouraged to be connected with material supply and livelihood activities. Transparency and respect were ensured by marking the names of women from families associated with the groups on the citizen information board.
Transparency was promoted through the use of technology, with information about MGNREGA and PMAY-G works being made accessible to the public via QR codes. Information based on QR codes is also being provided at Amrit Sarovars and other important sites.
During the program, the active participation of public representatives was ensured, and extensive publicity of the schemes was done through slogans, chants, and jingles. The government’s sensitivity was demonstrated by promptly resolving received complaints.
Enthusiastic participation of public representatives, officials, employees, and villagers was observed in this extensive event, reflecting a collective commitment to rural development.
